[It'll be no surprise to Sebastian how quick Ciel's mood dips. It's not like he shouldn't expect the demon to be sassy when he's sassy, but he always hates it regardless. Every single time. His blood boils, and his face grows dark.
Wipe that shit-eating grin off your face, you bastard, is what he wants to say.
And don't even try to add that end part to make anything seem better!] Don't forget your place. [It's a low, severe warning. He may be frightened of Sebastian's true nature, and he may be physically inadequate, but he sure as hell won't ever let the demon try to walk all over him. Sebastian is the servant, both the decorate butler in black and white in the playhouse and the vicious demon with burning red eyes and high boots and feathers. Or so he believes.]
And don't lowball your master. You know what I'm capable of. [Like requesting innocent children be turned to ashes, among other things. :)]
[ He laughs gently, because he doesn't even have to open his eyes to know that he's upset Ciel. Ciel is predictable, in that way, but it's certainly not a quality he hates. He bows his head deferentially, but after a moment's pause, he takes the gesture lower until he's on one knee, bowing before him. It's a physical gesture to show that he does know his place, to quietly admit that he had pushed too far.
...But he also knows there's nothing Ciel can do about it, not really. So perhaps it's a little mocking, too. ]
You are capable of more than most, my lord. I would never forget that.
[ Finally, he opens his eyes, then looks up at Ciel with an easy smile. It feels natural, being like this, and from this spot, he can see that burning hatred in Ciel's expression best. Truly, it's exquisite, and that is why Sebastian would never dream of breaking their contract. His prize and the game that comes along with it are far too great. ]
I am your sword and shield, after all. As always, please, use me as you wish.
[The kneel only brings a small relief. Ciel knows it isn't necessarily all in earnest. He knows Sebastian is mocking him, mocking how he feels about tightening that leash even though it won't ever choke a demon. Sebastian is mocking how willingly he's deluding himself into thinking that he is on the top of his ladder. He knows this. He hates it.
So he ignores the sting and lifts his chin higher, allowing himself to look down his nose at Sebastian. The pleased hungriness in the red eyes is harder to ignore than the earlier jab. It makes his stomach twist and feel sick. The only thing keeping him from being destroyed is his unresolved revenge.
Is it any worse being here and prolonging the contract than it is being back home and doing the same?
For now, he's mildly satisfied with his glare and with Sebastian's kneeling, so he's first to look away, closing his eyes after as if it's some grievous thing to stare at the demon for too long. It is.]
Then go be useful somewhere else. [100% done with you, Sebastian.]
[ Sebastian stands with grace, since unlike most demons, he doesn't mind this show of deference and humility at all. It's perfectly acceptable to him, since it's entertaining, and so what else could he ask for? Once he's standing, he places his hand against his chest to give another bow, though this one is lighter and just a gesture of habit, since he has to address his master properly before he leaves.
But there's nothing else to say, since he knows he's pushed Ciel enough for today. It had nearly been a mistake to come check on Ciel in such a rush, but this was an acceptable enough conclusion.
So he turns and leaves, off to... find Mogget probably, tbh. ]
[ Well, this isn't a bad question, at least. He stops, turning to face Ciel fully so that he's giving him his full attention as appropriate, but Sebastian's expression is thoughtful. ]
I am not sure, actually. They were all too short to properly consider it, really... But for all three, I proceeded until I perished, so I do not know.
There's a strange expression on his face, but it's not exactly readable. Finally, he raises his hand and shoos Sebastian off for real this time, then turns around himself to head back into the Observation Deck.

When you entered the box, were you able to leave when you wanted? [False alarm.
